'Caddy for a Cure' Coming to Firestone

Golfers in Northern Ohio will have a chance to get "inside the ropes" with noted PGA Tour players next week. "Caddy for a Cure" is an official PGA Tour event that will be held at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, July 29-30.

June 25, 2008. July will be "Play Golf Indiana" month as declared by Governor Mitch Daniels. The National Golf Course Owners Association and the Indiana Chapter are using this designation as an opportunity to kick off a state-wide adult player development program "Learn to Golf Indiana."

Joh Wins Women's Public Links Title

Tiffany Joh, 21, of San Diego, Calif., defeated Jennifer Song, 18, of Korea, 2 and 1, in Saturday's 36-hole final to capture her second U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship. The 2008 event was held at the 6,158-yard, par-73 Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisc.
