First Nine at Tower Ranch Set to Open

On May 30 members can play the first nine holes of the new Thomas McBroom-designed golf course at the Club at Tower Ranch in Kelowna, B.C. The clubhouse dining area, Aberdeen's Restaurant and Lounge, will also open its doors that day to members and the general public.
"This soft opening is a chance for our members to finally discover that the rumors are true: we are offering up superior playability, exceptional views, fabulous food from a brand-new menu, and first-class customer service," says chief operating officer Sherry Lipp. "We're ready to serve you a quality and unforgettable experience the minute you walk in."
The semiprivate layout will be open to the general public, which can book a tee time for early June as well. The full 18 holes will have a soft opening in mid-July, with official grand opening events slated for mid-August.
The track will feature bentgrass greens, tees and fairways; white silica-sand bunkers; undulating topography; and unobstructed views of Okanagan Lake, the city of Kelowna and the surrounding valley.
"The majority of our current membership signed up last fall, and they've been waiting patiently to hit some balls on this course," said head pro Neil Schmidt. "We wanted to give the members the first opportunity to meet us and to receive the privilege of dedicated early playing time for their lifelong commitment to the Club at Tower Ranch."
Tower Ranch is the legacy of Kelowna native and golf aficionado, Stan Tower. The project is a joint venture of the Tower family, Aberdeen Golf Construction, Intrawest, and Dilworth Quality Homes. For more information, visit www.golftowerranch.com.
